i tried the can am website just cuz u said that, and it is

Forward. They use a TTI(R) suspension designed by Can-Am. It basicallly makes the wheels attached to two swingarms instead of a-arms so that the wheels down move butterfly which can make it hard to keep in a forward direction on agressive trails.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you rob... It's pretty ugly and doesn't look to be race designed.

Man, if that's anything like the Outty 800, it'll be able to beat a YFZ. Not to mention be a challenge for blasters.

They also said the outlaw was going to be a good woods / GNCC style bike, but they arent that great at all. The IRS doesnt help to slide the rear end around.. I wont buy the bike because its going to be really wide..

True but then again, This is mostly a trails bike like the KFX700. Too big of a motor to be made light enough for the kind of acceleration in MX.

Not an idea in the world. :| I ride utes for the most part and the 800 is a damn fast quad.

GNCC is woods racing. Stands for Grand National Cross Country. Not to be confused with GNC.

We heard the same doubts when the Outlanders arrived on the scene. Today, no one who's taken the time and effort to ride one(or ride with one) knocks them. And, that goes for the 400, 650 and 800s. Their only knock is the price and although Hondas cost as much, no one complains. My 03 Outy has been ridden aggressively since new and I've had to replace a corroded voltage regulator and a seized CVT clutch pulley because of my addiction to mud. Then, last week, I replaced an $8 themostat cover. Let me see you get three years of abuse on original brake pads with any chain-driven tranny!   

Honda costs as much?? Woah. I never even really noticed that.. huh. Sucks that the rubicon is so underpowered. I really like the Hondamatic.

Honda doesn't make an 800. The 650 Bomb is about 7900 and so is the Rincon at 7800. Where the Yamaha and Suzuki  are like 7200.  :dunno.gif

Honda Rincon is a 680 not an 800. So there's no comparing it against the Bomb 800. Compare it to the Bomb 650. http://www.can-am.brp.com/en-US/Vehicles/Outlander.650/Models.htm

My good buddy and neighbor has the new Rincon and it's very, very nice. But, after my experience with my Outy 400, I still prefer the Outys. Although the Can-An/BRP 650 MSRP is $100 more than Honda's Rincon, the Can-Am/BRP dealers are aggressively penetrating the market by getting the Outys out the door for less than the Hondas. 

you get what you pay for. honda is the way to go.
