Title: polaris 50 cc predator Post by: bruteforceski on March 14, 2006, 06:51:06 PM my son has a 50 cc predator polaris 2005, he is already wanting to go faster
from day 1 i removed the clip that is supposed to keep it from going full speed and that is not fast enough i have even adjusted the throttle control so it can be pushed in as far as it can go. it still is not fast enough for him it only goes 15 mph. there has got to be some kind of additional governor or restrictor that i can remove or adjust, because i just cant imagine a 2 stroke only topping out at 15mph. any help is apreciated. My grandson had one and it would run 22 mph max. His 01 did not have the "clip" just the oem rev limiter. Might be somthing else going on..... Title: Re: polaris 50 cc predator Post by: Chuck_Norris on March 16, 2006, 06:59:32 AM there a bunch of mods that can be done on these little mini's the predator has some of its own traits that are characteristics of the machine only. some of the basic restrictions are in the intake and exhaust. there is a wire in the CDI that can be removed, and of course the items mentioned by Bigworm. gears and clutching
here is a picture of my sons Arctic cat that started out only going 15MPH and now we've got it up to 44mph (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/Chuck_Norris/DSCF0218Small.jpg) |
