just because there is only 1 header doesnt make it a "fake dual exhaust"
that looks awsome. 8)
The main reason they made it into duals is for the balance. Even weight distribution makes the bike more nimble, besides true dual exhaust wouldn't really do anything to make it faster anyways.

The dual mufflers was mainly, I thought, to lower decibels put out by the exaust.
i just thought of something. evertime i seen you race you always wash out on your 85. dont you think that this bike is going to be harder to keep on 2 wheels. :P

Umm I really doubt two would change the dbs. Even if it is coming from two sources the sound waves shoulds still combine once they leave the silencers....anyways maybe they did something with them that would lower the dbs, but what do I know. Ya that's what I said Jake, he already dumped it in one of the turns on our track trying to keep up with me :Fp

ya i dumped it once the whole time i was out there, and refresh my memory...but didnt i hold you off for the 1st 5 laps?? :P 8) and its def. not any quieter...it has the same stock four stroke sound ;)
Haha the track is 10 ft. wide, and I would have passed you if I was worried that I might bump your back tire and toss you. That would of been bad.

Ya on those 2 straights I had the pass on the inside of the turn but he kept "blocking me out" haha right if I had wanted to pass him I would of just kept the inside line and he would gotten knocked over the berm lol
maybee in 8 weeks i should come to your track and warm up. ;D by that time you should have some jumps. right. ;)
ya im tryin to head over as much as possible to practice and help them ass much as i can !!!!
We are trying. We are seeing how much it would cost to put irrigation out there because it gets dusty and makes it harder to ride. We have enough room to dig up dirt on our own we just aren't that experienced in making good, fun jumps. Even without the jumps though the track helps a lot. Since there is only 1 jump you get goin pretty fast and have to take the turns which I needed practice on.
i can always help you on the jumps. ;)
well even if we make em good the sand just dries up and gets eatin away. We have quite a few clay hills that we can make lips with but our equipment is like on the verge of just falling apart completely lol and the clay is about half a mile from the jump. They are on opposite sides of our property.
But you are welcome to come and ride it anytime (when your wrist is better now) just let me know. Just make sure you bring your goggles lol

Yeah Honda had about a million different reasons for the dual exhaust until they finally stuck with yaw, roll, and certrilization crap. They don't know lol, they just know it looks cool and will sell a bajillion models. ::) On a sound meter it actually reads lower but in real life it seems louder. Reason being is the way AMA checks sound is they measure peak HP on a specefic machine then whatever RPM the engine produced the most power they test it at exactly half the RPMS. Why?
