Title: Delancey this past weekend Post by: Prairie Master on February 21, 2006, 03:39:12 PM Were any of you down at delancey this weekend.... I was and there was a large group of people with total disrespect for the area, (Riding considerable faster than the posted speed limit in the camp ground, doing "donuts" in the middle of roads and trails, and also traveling on marked roads at high rates of speed". I bring my family down there almost every weekend. Please respect the rules I'm tired of finding new places to ride due to the disrepect of others.

I was there also and I didn't see them on the numbered roads. I was there on Saturday. I stopped by the information table at lake delancy, got some information on the trail system.

You could have asked the people at the information tent to call an Law Enforcement Officer or an Forest Patrol Officer, and let them know what you saw. They would have called someone, or stopped and talked to the person, to let them know they were not suppose to do that. I was close to the information tent also, I didn't see them go up the road, but I did see them on my way home.

I informed the rangers on Sunday of the situation We left around 1:00 on Sunday
Title: Re: Delancey this past weekend Post by: ATVXtreme on February 22, 2006, 06:48:20 AM When you get a situation like that the volunteer trail rangers or the rangers in the green truck will help out. Sometimes we are there ears and eyes, they can't be everywhere. Together we will make this a better trail system, and it is always good to have some more help. Like it has been said many times, many hands lighten the load.
