I'm not a pro at it and have only worked with Sony Vegas pro. But I could probably help you out some.  Do you have any program that will edit HD Video? I know there are some free Video editing programs out there but I'm not sure which ones will work with HD. If you do not have a program I will check around and see what I can find out.

Are you just wanting to edit the video for your self or are you wanting to upload to the internet?

What OS are you using? windows XP ? Vista? Windows 7?  If i know your OS it will be eaiser to know what you can use.

Windows movie maker would most likely be the easiest to use. If you have service pack 2 or 3 you will already have it. Movie maker is not a separate download  if you do not have SP2 or SP3 you will need to install SP 3 for windows XP.

Movie maker in Windows XP will not do High definition Video. But there is a plug in that you can use to convert HD to a format that windows movie maker can use . you can get it here   http://www.bauer-power.net/2009/04/create-hd-videos-in-windows-movie-maker.html

There is a good YouTube tutorial for movie maker here..  Movie Maker Video Editing Tutorial

There are other Free programs out there but I have never used any of them.

Thanks, Merle!!  Now if I can only figure out how to download the movies from the card to the puter, i'll be doing OK.  The puter says there is nothing to download, but, yet, the movies play from the card :-/
