Power Tip Question ?????

New guy here and need some help. Was looking on Ebay and found this. I have a new 2005 Suzuki 500 Vinsoin 4X4 and would like to do a few mods. Starting out slow but will someday be doing more. Does this thing work?? What is a Spark Arrestor?? Is it needed?? Is the price right?? Or should I keep my cash in my pocket?? Thanks for the help.

unless your racing cross country "woods" racing, dont worry about it......  doesnt make any power, it just helps with  not starting forest fires.
