Starting to notice a little bit of a trend in motorcycle classes. Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater is slowly becoming the dominate region. Last 2 races.....won 1st & 2nd in the expert (Webster), 1st & 2nd in vintage, 1st & 2nd in senior classes....... 1st, 2-2nd & 3rd in amateur.....not sure where the Nelsen guy that won amateur is from. Might have to organize our own St Pete Gang. Might be a little harder to come up with a cool name for Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater....hmmm. Old pros had the Michigan Mafia,

Kurt Brady let me borrow a news letter he has from 1975 at the Ocala Speedway. So I scanned it. Alot of names from back in da day are in it. I blasted it on Shawns two wheeler e mail list. If anyone is not on the list or did not receive it from me....and wants it......shoot me an e mail @ jonesyancey@tampabay.rr.com. It is 4.4MB file size pdf. Anyone that raced flat track in Florida in the seventies will know alot of the pictures and names.

Richard, Ron Cahill (squeezer), Collins and me

Collins #30E dropped out after heat 2. Something happen to his motor in heat #2 and he was blowing oil all over me. I ran third right behind Collins the entire heat. I thought something was wrong with my bike with the oil all over it since I also had problems all night with my bike. Exhaust pipe broke right at the exhaust manifold. Had to wire the pipe tight to the frame to keep it from moving. Was shooting a two inch flame out the crack. Lower rear motor mount shaft that also holds on my left foot peg and right brake mounting dam near came off in the second heat. I have to quit being stingy with the loctite.

wow when it rains it pours-im having all kinds of trouble with the drag bike too. chuck and i are going to try and make the last race of the summer series if we can find the cash to do so.work has been nonexsistant for the last three months.

got the ol hondas out of storage yesterday- they actually fired right up and ran. buzzed them up and down the road just to make sure. everythings loaded for saturday.see ya all there!!

it all depends on the droped races too,so we'll see

chuck has to do well too to keep second,so we'll both be twistin the cranks out of them! lol

Well, that's good to know. We'll get to see parts on the track when your twins spit parts on the ground! lol Besides, that single of mine is running real well and is a tough one too!

i also found a fuel delivery problem that has been fixed, so maby it will fly on the straights now.
well whenever they do explode were probably gonna start racing harleys-got a couple of sportsters im lookin at for next season, then ward will have somthin to follow around lol

mmmmmm........my Yamaha is a 1974.........and if my memory serves me right, in 74 & 75, Yamaha ate Harleys for lunch.

SO BRING IT ON!!!!!!

Another one that has me worried is Ron (squeezer). He only has a handful of races under his belt and already on my a$$. I've raced every race this season and for me personally.....didn t feel comfortable until about 3 or 4 races ago when I changed my thinking and started running a lower gear. Same thing for Ron I am thinking. 4 or 5 races and a couple more adjustments, I might be dodging his roost

of course, you could always slip Brady a few bucks and have him dump a little extra water in turn 3...
