How do you remove a sony radio? my truck has a older sony one and i want one with more options. but before i buy one, i want to see if i can change it easily. i think they all use the same wiring harness and they are the same size so all i need now is to get the old one out! is there a special tool for sonys or does it just pop out or what. i bought a removal tool and it doesnt work. no holes to use. it kinda looks like it just pulls out but im not sure. i dont want to break anything. |

if you take the beauity ring off... on each side of the radio there is a slot that is real thin to slide a tool that comes with the radio to unlatch it from the bracket. the tool reminds me of a minature slim jim.  I have to run but i can explain better a little later |

Like these other guys said... Anyway, even if you buy another sony it probably will use a different harness.  But, it might come with the tools for removing the current one.  Even if doesn't the idea will be similar so you can get the idea. |

If it has a pocket stick your hand in it and pull. It should pop out . The kits for your truck just snap in. so what should i do? |
