okay, just got it and i think it is like on AWD constantly, just noticed this, and also, arn't this supposed to AWD in reverse? i got stuck and tried to back out and noticed that it was only RWD in reverse....

What year polaris is it? My 01 has hubs that you have to add oil to every so often(it leaks), if it runs dry, it will pull all the time. If it's like mine, remove the allen screw on the wheel hub and add ford type f ATF fluid. The no 4wd ON REVERSE is because on your left handlebar is a yellow button. This is the reverse overide/4wd button. You have to keep the  button pushed in when going in reverse, otherwise the 4wd will not work.This is only when going in reverse. It hope it helps ....

thanks so much on the reverse overide!!! and it's an 04, i guess i can check the hubs to see if they need oiling
